All of our brothers share a strong connection to the fire service. We support our fellow firefighters and their families through charitable fundraisers and donations to the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation.
As part of tradition, the brothers of Chi Beta Tau embark on a trip each semester to visit some of the oldest and most prestigious firehouses around the country and within our member's hometowns.
As a social fraternity, Chi Beta Tau participates in various service events around campus and in conjunction with Eastern Kentucky University's esteemed Greek organizations.
“Fraternity is defined as a group of individuals sharing one common goal or purpose… In many aspects, The Fraternity of Chi Beta Tau is the first of its kind. By blending the elements and extensive history of the American Fire Service with the traditional customs of college Greek Life, we offer our members the opportunity to join a dynamic brotherhood with the focus on developing better men academically, socially, and culturally.
When we first established this organization in 2011, our primary goal was to create an environment where students seeking professional employment within the fire service could find a new pathway towards friendship on a firmer and more lasting basis – A brotherhood. Not only did we succeed, but we also became one of the most progressive student service organizations on Eastern Kentucky University’s Richmond campus. Each and every brother brings diverse qualities and insights which help to distinguish us as one of the best and most unique Fraternities ever created.”
